During the grooming process, all care is taken to ensure the health of your pet is considered. We use the latest state of the art equipment, our products are carefully selected from a leading supplier who specialise in offering professional grooming products. 

For the prevention of cross contamination we request that your dog's vaccinations are up to date. Goddard's Groomers sterilise all equipment between each groom this includes all hand tools as well as all surfaces, the grooming table and the bath. Puppies will not be groomed until they are at least four months old. Goddard's Groomers will not be held liable for any pre-existing conditions and problems found during grooming.  Any advice given regarding health problems should be checked out by a qualified veterinary surgeon.

Prior to grooming there will be a short consultation with the owner regarding the health of the dog.  If a coat is badly matted or neglected the fur becomes matted, when wet the matts tighten and can become very painful for the dog; sores can develop under the matted areas.  Matts tend to be located very close to the skin around the ears, armpits and groin areas.  In this event the fur may need clipping off; as it would take much longer and would be painful for the dog to comb the matts out individually.  Owners will be informed prior to clipping in a situation where it is necessary to give the dog a complete clip off.  The owner should also be aware that some irritation may occur from shaving very close to the dog's skin. The owner agrees that Goddard's Groomers shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems 'uncovered' on a badly matted or neglected coat. 

Goddard's Groomers reserves the right to refuse to groom any pet for the safety of the groomer and the dog. The owner agrees to inform Goddard's Groomers prior to grooming if the dog has bitten or has a history of aggressive behaviour. The owner understands they will be held liable for all bites caused by their dog should they have neglected to inform Goddard's Groomers of its history.

We are fully covered with 'Public Liability Insurance' in the event of damage, accident or loss to your pet.  The insurance certificate is displayed in the van.

Clients are welcome to enter the van if they so wish, however, they do so at their own risk. Goddard's Groomers will not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur.

Any missed appointments will be charged. Appointment cards will be issued for return visits.
